Cartagena & surrounds
Perched alongside the sparkling Caribbean, the colonial town of Cartagena is a fairytale city of romance, legends and beauty. Declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1984, this fortified city with its castles, bastions, maze of cobbled alleyways and Old Town is an incredible place to explore. Isla Baru is home to one of the most stunning beaches in all of Colombia, Playa Blanca. Take a dip in the mud bath at the Totumo Mud Volcano and visit the preserved Bocachica Fort by boat passing fishing villages along the way.
