Le Jardins de la Medina
A rare, authentic riad in the heart of Marrakech
The Jardins de la Médina is one of the authentic Riads of Marrakesh, once the holiday home of noble families who imbued it with the Andalusian art of living, it has now been transformed into a charming boutique hotel.
The property has retained its original 19th century architecture while creating 37 bedrooms and suites spread out among jacarandas, centuries‐old olive trees, bitter-orange trees and other luxuriant plants in an exquisite garden adorned with traditional fountains. At the heart of the hotel is a large courtyard where the use of adobe walls and earthen colours reinforces the African feel. In traditional riad style all rooms face onto the courtyard and not out onto the hectic streets.
Arranged comfortably in the former reception hall of the Riad, under the high ceilings of carved cedar, the restaurant and its intimate little bar are imbued with all the charm of the past. Breakfast, lunch and dinner are all served in the Riad allowing you to retreat to this oasis of calm having explored bustling Marrakech. The Riad also features a full‐service spa, where you can enjoy massages, body treatments and facials, or take advantage of the outdoor pool, steam room and fitness centre.
Les Jardins de la Medina is one of the best‐placed boutique hotels for an outstanding stay in the Medina of Marrakesh, close to the Saadien Tombs,
the Royal Palace and Agdal Gardens. Its location enables you, above all, to discover the highlights of Marrakech either on foot or by horse‐drawn
carriage whilst also allowing access to its entrance by vehicle ‐ the height of luxury in the Medina.
