Hacienda Bambusa is located in the southern part of the Zona Cafetera, the cradle of Colombian coffee. This picture postcard area, with its fertile valleys and mountainous landscape is an region of spectacular beauty that should not be missed.
As you arrive at the hacienda, you feel immersed in a labyrinth of plantain, orange and pineapple plantations. The impeccably presented 7-bedroom authentic colonial house, built of bamboo guadua and clay tiles, is ideally arranged for rest and relaxation with views of the swimming pool and gardens. All guestrooms are ensuite and enjoy a private balcony with a sitting area and hammock. The restaurant serves a delicate and delicious variety of haute cuisine with many dishes prepared with products that are grown on the hacienda.
Surrounded by bamboo guadua forests, rivers and creeks, the hacienda raises cattle, cultivates cocoa, ginger, plantains, bananas and tangerines amongst other produce. The property is also home to an array of exotic flowers, more than 100 species of birds, and various mammals such as monkeys, foxes, pacas and armadillos.
