The Mana Pools National Park and neighbouring private Sapi Concession form part of a UNESCO World Heritage Site and a core area of the middle-Zambezi biosphere reserve. Together they comprise 337,600ha of prime wilderness, recognised as some of the finest in Africa. With an estimated 85% of these areas only traversable on foot, this is Africa’s dream walking safari destination.
The focus of this journey is on exploration and adventure and a large portion of the activities involve walking and game drives with some canoeing and boating opportunities on the Zambezi River. You will have the opportunity to experience up close encounters with elephant, lion, leopard, hyena, wild dog, buffalo, eland, zebra and other ungulate species. In addition, this is prime bird watching country with an estimated 380 species represented.
Throughout you will stay in exclusive tented luxury mobile camps, some with the option of sleeping al fresco
on a ’starbed’ and all with en-suite bathroom facilities including an al fresco bucket shower and flush
