El Questro Homestead
WA's rugged frontier
El Questro is located in Western Australia’s untamed Kimberley region and at just over 700,000 acres in size, most of its heart has never been explored. Despite being just 100km from Kununurra, it is one of Australia’s last true frontiers.
The Homestead at El Questro is an exclusive retreat situated atop the Chamberlain Gorge with stunning views across the rugged landscape. Nine exclusive suites accommodate just eighteen guests ensuring that service is attentive, yet relaxed. The suites are all cosy and comfortable but vary in style from the modern cliffside retreats to the more traditional homestead rooms. Some have wraparound verandas and outdoor bathrooms set in private walled gardens while others are cantilevered over the tranquil Chamberlain River to provide breathtaking views. Surrounded by lush tropical gardens, the Homestead has a swimming pool and tennis court for the exclusive use of its guests. A modern Australian menu is served on a sweeping veranda - the perfect place to drink in the landscape as it turns orange and pink at sunset.
El Questro’s guided explorations showcase Kimberley’s impressive natural attractions. Soak in the Zebedee thermal springs, cruise dramatic rivers, explore from the air or go helifishing, horseride or hike the terrain on foot. A day spent with a local ranger will introduce you to countless species including the region’s Big 5: brolgas, jabirus, saltwater crocodiles, bullocks and wallaroos.
At El Questro Homestead guests are immersed in luxury, juxtaposed by Western Australia's rugged Kimberley landscape.
