Ecoventura Eric & Letty Galapagos Cruise
Small ship discovery
For over three decades Ecoventura have been operating small scale, luxury cruises to the Galapagos Islands with itineraries carefully designed to show case the islands’ amazing wildlife, striking landscapes, magnificent marine environment, and fascinating history. As a family owned operator with top environmental credentials, they are tirelessly committed to offering the very best experience to a small number of guests whilst protecting the delicate ecosystem in which they operate.
Eric & Letty – First class Galapagos expedition yachts
Ecoventura’s signature fleet includes two identical expedition yachts custom-designed for Galapagos cursing: the M/Y Eric and M/Y Letty. Built in 1991 and refurbished annually, these identical superior first-class sister yachts accommodate a maximum of 20 guests.
Ten fully air-conditioned outside staterooms with private bathrooms span three decks. Each cabin has a polished teak interior with brass fittings, a window or porthole, ample storage and climate control. The main cabin features a dining room, well-stocked bar, large lounge/conference area with flat screen TV, panoramic picture windows and a library. There is a shaded sun-deck and two observation points – the perfect spot for wildlife watching, scanning the horizon in the breeze and marvelling at a sky full of stars. Three meals are served daily and the cuisine is designed by culinary school-trained chefs to provide variety and quality.
Itinerary and activities
Ecoventura alternates two different 7-night itineraries to showcase the very best of the Galapagos’ natural history and both are equally spectacular. If required, the two itineraries can be combined for a longer, two-week journey visiting every corner of the Galapagos Islands. During the cruise you will be guided by two English-speaking naturalist guides - one for every ten guests which is the lowest guide to guest ratio in Galapagos. This ensures an outstanding learning experience and intimate wildlife encounters.
Enjoy guided excursions and engage in varied activities including guided nature walks, wildlife photography, bird watching, snorkelling, kayaking, dingy rides, whale watching (seasonal) and stargazing. The use of snorkelling equipment, wetsuits and kayaks are provided on a complimentary basis.
