Casa Andina Arequipa
A living museum
Casa Andina Private Collection Arequipa is one of the most modern hotels in the city, just a few blocks from the Plaza de Armas.
Casa Andina Private Collection Arequipa is raised on the old “Casa de la Moneda” (old Mint), a national historic landmark built in 1794, making the property more a living museum than a hotel. The hotel offers 40 rooms and suites which are spread between the stately colonial mansion and the new wing of the hotel which overlooks the second colonial courtyard. The Alma Restaurant presents a delicious combination of contemporary international cuisine blended with the traditional flavours of Arequipa.
Situated at the foot of an ice-capped volcano, El Misti (5821m), the colonial city of Arequipa has long been famous for its beautiful setting, pleasant climate and for being the gateway to the Colca Canyon. Marvel at some of the country’s finest colonial churches and mansions, visit the Monastery of Santa Catalina, a mini city where for hundreds of years nuns have lived their entire lives, and visit Juanita, the perfectly preserved sacrificial Incan girl in the Museo Santurios Andions.
A spectacular colonial mansion on the doorstep of Arequipa’s key attractions.
