a powerfully inspiring professional guide & passionate conservationist
Bekezela ("Beks") Ndlovu is the founder of African Bush Camps, a successful portfolio of luxury tented camps in Zimbabwe and Botswana, along with a foundation that supports rural communities around conservation areas. Born near Hwange and educated at an elite private school, Beks went straight into guiding as soon as he graduated. For years he guided and ran camps for Wilderness Safaris in both Botswana and Zimbabwe, and attained his Professional Guides License in 1998. For his personal contribution to Tourism in Zimbabwe he has won many awards, including ‘Best Personal contribution to Safari Tourism in Africa' and ‘Entrepreneur of the Year’ at the Zimbabwe Council for Tourism Awards. Today he is not only actively involved in selecting and training the guides who work at his properties but still acts as a private guide himself. Beks specialises in guiding small select groups and families through Africa's remote places; and he is one of the most informed wildlife guides you will find in Africa.
