This is a trip of a lifetime ‐ one to definitely tick off your bucket list! Imagine cruising past icebergs and glaciers and then seeing the magnificent
Polar Bear. This two week journey explores one of the most remote areas on earth, travelling on a superb ship built purposely for these waters and offering
birdwatching, hiking, photography and exploring by zodiac. Weather‐wise July is the perfect time and as this trip is just 13 nights you can then
head off to explore Europe or travel further‐a‐field.
Your journey starts with 2 nights in the picturesque Norwegian capital of Oslo before flying north to the Arctic town of Longyearbyen. Here you will commence
your 9 night voyage exploring the bays and islands of Spitsbergen and the Svalbard archipelago ‐ a tremendous wildlife and birdlife destination.
This glacier–studded coast is a celebrated breeding ground for many seabirds, along with marine mammals and the elusive polar bear. The scenery offers
towering ice cliffs, glaciers and frozen mountains, all waiting to be explored.
Spot beluga whales as well as bearded & ringed seals, and visit the world’s most northerly community at Ny Alesund. At Prins Karls Forland look for
walrus hauling out of the water before returning to Longyearbyen for an overnight stay prior to flying back to Oslo where the expedition ends.
