Evening 2 - An Evening with Paul Telfer - Primatologist and CEO of Congo Conservation Company

Wednesday 2 October

We are thrilled to announce that primatologist and CEO of the Congo Conservation Company, Paul Telfer, will be joining us in Sydney for the second of two fascinating and inspirational information evenings on 2nd October 2019.

Paul began studying primates in Sierra Leone and Gabon in the ‘90s and has dedicated his life to their conservation ever since. As the founder of Odzala Discovery Camps in the Congo, he has pioneered ecotourism in an astonishingly biodiverse central African enclave all but forgotten by the outside world. This venture protects a vast tract of rainforest which is home to one of the densest primate populations on Earth, creates employment opportunities for local communities and has put the Republic of Congo squarely on the map as a frontier safari destination.

Safe to say Paul is a remarkable man with endless tales to tell. It is an honour to welcome him to our Woollahra HQ and we hope you can join us for the unique opportunity to hear him speak

Odzala Discovery Camps are pioneers in the eco-tourism industry of Congo, firmly believing that low-impact wildlife tourism contributes to global awareness, local sustainable development and protection of Congo’s invaluable rainforests.

The three camps combine beautifully to present a diverse itinerary covering three separate habitats, each offering their own unique experiences. We recommend spending seven nights in Odzala to fully appreciate the astonishing biodiversity here.
