Zambia is often and deservedly described as the "real Africa". It's a landlocked country, memorable for its intimate game-viewing opportunities (particularly walking safaris), beautiful trees and incredibly friendly people.

Zambia has several large and genuinely wild national parks. Poor roads limit access in some areas, but this provides a unique challenge to the intrepid traveller. Zambia shares with Zimbabwe two of Southern Africa's major attractions - Victoria Falls and the Zambezi River.
