Uganda
SAFARI SUGGESTIONS

Uganda has deservedly earned the title, "Pearl of Africa" with its lush terraced hillsides and beautiful shrouded Mountains of the Moon. The country is still recovering from chaos that followed independence in 1962 and the tourist infrastructure is being redeveloped so accommodation tends to be fairly basic and there is not yet the range of travel options available in Kenya and Tanzania. However the people of Uganda are some of the friendliest you will encounter in Africa and their warmth and enthusiasm more than compensates for the scarcity of resources.
Bwindi Impenetrable National Park and Queen Elizabeth National Park are both highlights and the drive from Kampala to either region takes you through some beautiful country. The roads are generally in good condition, particularly around the main towns and cities.
Highlights:
- Queen Elizabeth National Park
- Bwindi
- Kibale Forest
- Semliki
- Murchison Falls
- Kidepo
