Colin Carpenter's interest in travel began as a teacher
at The King’s School in Sydney where he organised and led several expeditions to the Nepalese
Himalaya and beyond.
In 1991 Colin founded the youth travel specialist, Antipodeans Abroad.
Over the next 23 years he introduced thousands of young Australians to the world’s most exciting
destinations - from Mauritius to Morocco, from Ghana to Guatemala, from India to Italy and
many more in between. He blazed a trail with an innovative form of youth travel which others
