Budgeting
To facilitate the quoting process, and like the hotel star ratings, we have created 'paw ratings' based on the level of 'bush luxury' involved. This indicates the approximate per night price. These figures are based on a fully inclusive basis - i.e. all your accommodation, meals, drinks, laundry, activities, guides; park fees (not gorilla permits) and transfers by charter plane and road. Extras tend to be gratuities, imported alcohols, personal items, visas and extraordinary permits such as Gorilla permits. This is simply a guideline.
e.g. - a 6-night 5-Paw Safari visiting three luxury tented camps in Botswana would cost in the vicinity of $5200 per person fully inclusive (plus charters ex Maun).
Safaris with no expense spared, luxury accommodation, private charter planes, private vehicles & private guides for example. Prices start from $1200 + per person per night
Tailored, top-of-the-line safaris staying in 5-star 'bush luxury' camps & lodges. Travel is often by charter plane, or if a mobile safari, by 4 x 4 with a complete complement of staff to service your party. Prices start from $800 + per person per night
Comfortable, middle of the road safaris staying in quality bush camps or if a mobile safari, medium sized tents and a service crew to assist. Prices start from $600 + per person per night
Quality but with minimal fuss, mobile in nature, and often involves camping with share bathroom facilities. Prices start from $400 + per person per night
