Sasaab Fly Camp

Fly Camp in the arid north

Sasaab Fly Camp - Image 1

Sasaab is situated on a rocky ridge above the banks of the mighty Ewaso Nyiro River in north-central Kenya, an area renowned for its variant species. Here in the heart of Samburu land, it is the only lodge in the vicinity and the safari experience is all the more spectacular for the location’s wildness.

During your stay at the main lodge of Sasaab you will be given the option to venture to the further reaches of the conservancy to spend a night or two fly camping under the stars. Romantic and adventurous, this experience will take your breath away as you become fully immersed in the African bush. Nothing comes close to falling asleep to the distant whoop of the hyenas, enjoying the stillness of the air and wondering at the enormity of the star filled sky above you.

At Sasaab you can enjoy expertly guided game drives, guided walks, bird watching, stargazing and even a camel ride. Sasaab also has close ties with the local Samburu tribes who are delighted to share their traditions and we actively encourage guests to visit. A fantastic lodge for wonderfully well-rounded safari experience.
