Saadani River Lodge
Saadani River Lodge is the ultimate hidden river retreat, nestled amongst the trees bordering the Wami River with beautiful views of the water and the game it attracts.
The seventeen suites here are built of Mtondoro hardwood and Teak wood with traditional thatching helping them blend seamlessly into their environment. The décor focuses on warm timbers and tactile stone and remains effortlessly stylish as it complements the surrounding bush perfectly. Elevated on stilts, the suites offer impressive views from their private balconies and the perfect retreat in which to relax during the heat of the day and watch the game as it ambles quietly past. The main lounge and dining area is housed under a large thatched sala with more spectacular views and the open-air kitchen conjures up fresh dishes which are both delicious and healthy.
Game drives through the Saadani National Park present regular sightings of giraffe, elephant and buffalo while lions and leopards are often seen lounging in cool, shady spots. Excursions on the Wami river are a great way to encounter hippos, crocodiles and the regions abundant birdlife.
Saadani River Lodge promotes endless rest and relaxation and is the perfect secluded escape for spotting fantastic game whilst also embracing the peaceful beauty of nature.
