This is your opportunity to do what few westerners do and drive through India in a classic Hindustan Ambassador!

This incredible journey will take you through some of India’s most beautiful scenery, across hot arid plains, up and over the Western Ghat Mountains, to wildlife reserves and old British hill stations and along pretty winding roads and to the cool oases of hillside tea plantations. You’ll experience first-hand the friendliness of the locals, charming hotels, the diversity of India’s wildlife and sensational local cuisine all from the comfort of a Hindustan Ambassador, with a full support team on hand.

Arriving in Calicut, you will be allocated your car before travelling south to the old trading port of Cochin. Continuing through the serenity of Kerala you will explore the tranquil backwaters by boat and then climb the Western Ghats – a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of the 8 'Hottest Hotpsots' of biological diversity in the world. Driving along some of the prettiest roads in south India you will cross the Palakad gap, explore the botanical gardens and Fernhill Palace of Ooty, visit Bandipur wildlife reserve and Somnathpur Temple and enjoy some time exploring Mysore. Returning to Calicut you will enjoy a farewell dinner with your fellow drivers to compare your tales of Indian adventuring.

This is an extraordinary journey full of eccentricity and fun offering a real sense of adventure and a genuine insight into real, beautiful India.
