Escorted by Graham McGregor and hosted by the charismatic Jakob Von Plessen, this trip is an extraordinary way to experience the riding cultures of Argentina.

The trip begins in Buenos Aires, where you can spend your days at leisure, exploring its bustling streets and cosmopolitan hang outs, visiting the San Thelmo flea and antique markets and enjoying the passionate drama of a tango show.

From Buenos Aires you will fly south to Mar del Plata and stay at The Golf at the exclusive Estancia El Boquerón, the private holiday home of Jakob’s family which sits privately within expansive grounds and offers a library, pool, large beautifully decorated rooms, gardens, a challenging point to point course and polo field for anyone wishing to try their hand at a chukka or two.

Following another couple of nights in Buenos Aires and the thrill of the finals of the Argentine Open you will venture into the wilderness spending five nights in the ‘Lake District’ with the gauchos. Here you will witness all aspects of life on a rural property from cattle farming to red stag hunting and stay in boutique log cabins which provide a cosy and picture-perfect refuge. Weather permitting you may even trek deeper into the wilderness on your sturdy Creolle horse to experience a couple of nights fly camping surrounded by dramatic and stunningly beautiful scenery.

This unique trip offers, an exclusive and rarely-witnessed insight into the life of a gaucho, combining it seamlessly with the luxury of Jakob’s personal property, the vibrant culture of flamboyant Buenos Aires and the thrill of world class polo. It is not to be missed.
