Estancia Rincon Chico ranch is located on the Patagonian coast, in the south east corner of the Peninsula Valdes, a declared World Heritage Site, and 170km from the city of Puerto Madryn.

The guesthouse has 8 comfortable rooms each with private bathroom. The living room has a library with a variety of books about the fauna of the Peninsula Valdes as well as a DVD player to watch documentaries on the region. All meals are served in the dining room, where you will also find a small wine bar.

During your stay you will have the opportunity to enjoy the natural beauty and varied wildlife of the area in the company of bilingual biologists and naturalists. Enjoy horse riding, hiking, mountain biking and birdwatching. Walking the coastal paths you will be able to see the sea lions and elephant seals that have made this place home. Whales, orcas, penguins and dolphins can all be sighted from the estancia's 15km of coastline.

Estancia Rincon Chico is a working sheep station within the stunning windswept wilderness of Peninsula Valdes.

Key facts

Best time to visit July to February

Every year between March and April the orcas from Peninsula Valdes come close to shore to hunt South American sea lions on the beach. These orcas have developed the unique technique of intentional stranding.
