Tasmania’s Cradle Mountain and Lake St Clair National Park is one of Australia’s most spectacular World Heritage areas and its yours to discover whilst trekking the world famous Overland Track.

Your walk will begin at the beautiful Quamby Estate near Launceston and from here you will begin either a four or six day itinerary. Each day you will walk between ten and fourteen kilometres through peaceful and exquisite terrain taking in button grass plains, temperate rainforests, alpine meadows and open moorland. You’ll pass Marion's Lookout which offers famous and spectacular views of Cradle Mountain with Dove Lake at its base, Waterfall Valley, the notoriously muddy Pine Forest Moor (which now offers a duckboard path over the mud!), Barn Bluff, Forth River and the Frog Flats, Lake Ayr and more, as well as excellent swimming holes, abandoned copper mine and plenty of simply peaceful and humbling spots for taking a quiet rest. Wildlife often encountered along the way include wombats, pademelons, echidnas and an array of birdlife. The Tasmanian Devil also makes this area its home.

At times the walks will be gentle, sheltered and leisurely whilst at others you will cross rugged terrain and exposed alpine plateaus . This allows great views on a clear day but in rough weather the wind howls over the land making for exciting and sometimes challenging walking conditions. Your guides are all highly educated, passionate experts with years of collective experience, who will ensure your safety and enhance the journey with their knowledge and understanding of the flora, fauna, geology and history of the area.

Each night will be spent in the comfort of the only private hut accommodation along the trail where your guides will prepare an inspired, three-course dinner whilst you sit back and relax with a glass of Tasmanian wine. In the morning you’ll wake up to the aroma of hot coffee and freshly baked bread ready to start the day.

This magnificent, breathtakingly beautiful and iconic journey presents the perfect combination of expert guiding, fabulous accommodation, gourmet cuisine, spectacular scenery, pristine wilderness and unbelievable wildlife. It truly offers the rare opportunity to unplug, breathe and truly reconnect with nature.
