Bartholomeus Klip is an exclusive destination in the Cape Winelands, located on a working farm and game reserve in the Riebeek Valley. Discerning travellers will appreciate the peace and quiet in the exclusive five-room farmhouse. Barthomolomeus Klip’s romantic setting is below a spectacular mountain range, and surrounded by well-kept farmland and a 10,000 acre nature reserve.

There is a long history of hospitality at Bartholomeus Klip, which shows in the friendly smiles that greet each guest and the relaxed atmosphere of the homestead. There are four double rooms with Victorian-styled bathrooms in the beautifully furnished farmhouse and one separate suite outside, with its own secluded verandah looking over the veld and the mountains. Finishes everywhere are luxurious and stylish, with crisp cotton bedding and elegant fabrics.

There are a range of activities on the farm as well as in the surrounding area from walking to canoeing, cycling, bird watching and nature drives which are on offer in the morning and evenings. The farm is also well located for self-drive exploration to areas such as Riebeek Kastell & Tulbagh as well as some of the newer wineries in the Swartland. It is an easy one hour drive from Cape Town and just ’up the valley’ from Paarl and Franschhoek.
