This Secret Women’s Series journey, led by Andrea Powis of Travelling Divas is a journey of a lifetime. South America boasts huge diversity and spectacular scenery, astonishing wildlife , incredible food, fascinating people and cultures ancient and modern! It is impossible not to be moved by the past as you travel through the country, hearing the stories of the Spanish invasion, the mystery of the Incas and those who came before....

This epic journey begins in the capital of Ecuador, Quito, a UNESCO World Heritage site since 1978. It has a fascinating history starting in Pre-Colombian times, followed by invasions by the Incas and then the Spaniards. Now a modern city exists, with a beautifully preserved historical centre where colonial churches stand side-by-side with elegant Republican homes on airy squares. There is an impressive theatre culture, a lively art scene and the city's gastronomic reputation is thriving.

From Quito you will head to the Galapagos Islands one of the last, most highly protected and pristine environments left on earth and a living museum showcasing evolution before your eyes. Spending 3 nights at the extraordinary Galapagos Safari Camp you’ll come face-to-face with the islands’ extraordinary wildlife and snorkel the clear blue ocean.

Then it is to Peru, to explore the sophistication and foodie scene of Lima, the mystery and beauty of the Machu Picchu and the Sacred Valley and finally Cusco where the influences on local culture by the history of the Incas and the Spanish combine with the modern Peru to deliver an amazing grass-roots experience. Then there is the extreme beauty of Lake Titicaca and its surrounds, coupled with the luxurious Relais & Chateaux Titilaka Lodge.

Throughout the journey you will enjoy all the elements of a ‘Secret Women’s Series’ journey – exquisite cuisine, expert guides, authentic experiences and of course the companionship of a small group of likeminded ladies. You will stay in a handpicked selection of stylish lodges and boutique hotels, each showcasing the best in South American design and hospitality.

If you are looking to explore this beautiful destination in style, soak up an unhurried pace of life, experience unique cultures and luxuriate in some of the most beautiful environments on earth, this is the journey for you.
